NIV : The New International Version (NIV) is a completely original translation of the Bible developed by more than one hundred scholars working from the best available Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts. The NIV offers a balance between a word-for-word and thought-for-thought translation and is considered by many as a highly accurate and smooth-reading version of the Bible in modern English.
ESV : The English Standard Version (ESV) stands in the classic mainstream of English Bible translations over the past half-millennium. The fountainhead of that stream was William Tyndale's New Testament of 1526; marking its course were the King James Version of 1611 (KJV), the English Revised Version of 1885 (RV), the American Standard Version of 1901 (ASV), and the Revised Standard Version of 1952 and 1971 (RSV).
NASB : While preserving the literal accuracy of the 1901 ASV, the NASB has sought to render grammar and terminology in contemporary English. Special attention has been given to the rendering of verb tenses to give the English reader a rendering as close as possible to the sense of the original Greek and Hebrew texts.
대학과 대학원에서 신학, 영문학, 윤리학을 전공했다. 신학생 1학년때 처음 영어성경을 접하고 설레는 마음으로 영어성경을 지금까지 읽고 있다. 10여년간 영어학원에서 학생들에게 영어수업을 지도하였다.
영어실력향상과 영적성장을 위한 성경읽기를 동시에 할 수 있는 영어성경통독을 적극 권장하고 있다.
현재 교회문화교실에서 NIV 영어성경읽기를 지도하고 있다.
